SENIOR TECHNICAL ARTIST

REPORTS TO: TECHNICAL ART DIRECTOR

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Develop new techniques and processes to meet the challenges of producing innovative, cutting-edge video games;
• Searching for innovative visual and technical point of view, a way of working with the creative processes;
• Accurately document processes and procedures;
• Work closely with the Technical Director for correcting errors and evaluating new tools;
• Provide technical direction and instructions to other artists or animators.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Relevant experience as a Technical Artist, or experience as a Programmer (strong interest and knowledge of the artistic field);
• At least 1 AAA title, preferably next-generation.
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of Unreal Engine (Blueprints);
• Knowledge / experience of nodal shader systems;
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of Houdini;
• Profiling knowledge (PIX, real-time 3d constraints, hardware);
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of Maya or Blender;
• Knowledge of HLSL (asset);
• Knowledge of scripting/programming languages an asset (C++, Python, C#, .Net, Mel, etc.);
• Knowledge of procedural design methods;
• Notions in machine learning an asset;
• Solid grounding in mathematics and physics.
