SENIOR TECHNICAL DESIGNER - NARRATIVE

REPORTS TO: TECHNICAL DESIGN DIRECTOR  

THE TEAM:  

Eidos-Montreal, renowned for its quality narrative-driven titles, is looking for a Technical Designer to join the Narrative Team. This is an indispensable role in the creation, maintenance and communication of the narrative systems and tools used by writers and designers to enable them to fully express their creativity.

That's why we're looking for someone inventive, curious and passionate, in line with the same motivation as our narrative team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:  

• You'll be the technical reference and the person responsible for creating and maintaining all tools, processes and pipelines for the production of all narrative assets;
• On a daily basis, you'll work closely with a passionate narrative and audio team, pushing your ingenuity to the limit;
• You won't just be monitoring and fixing bugs. Pro-active, you will also regularly find solutions to limit their reproduction;
• You'll regularly provide the Technical Design Director with feedback from users, and work together to improve the editor as a whole.

WHAT YOU BRING:  

• 5 years or more experience in technical design and/or programming;
• Comfortable with visual state machines (Logic Driver, Mecanim) and visual scripting;
• Interest in storytelling techniques in games and interactive media.

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:  

• Experience with at least two engines;
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++ and/or C#.
