This candidate will provide expert knowledge to the In-Service Support (ISS) group with planning, delivery and operation of in-service support, equipment modifications, understanding of repair procedures and resolution of design and/or maintenance issues and working collaboratively with a range of other specialists, to ensure effective through life support to OSI Customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Leads the analysis and resolution of problems, escalated by the Incident Management Team, and determines the optimum means to deliver the required solution
- Leads the impact analysis of reported obsolescence issues on OSI ISS and legacy Customers.
- Prepare obsolescence status reports and other ISS contractual deliverables, under the direction of the ISS PM. Works with the ISS Supply Chain Specialist to co-ordinate and significantly contribute to the development and maintenance of the ISS Supply Chain
- Works with Product Development and Engineering to determine necessary changes to ISS Customers’ configurations
- Manages and executes minor updates to drawings and technical documentation.
- Support the development of proposals and estimates in response to client requests for proposals.
- Works with the ILS, Service and Technical Publications teams to apply Configuration Management to drawings and technical documentation for large changes.
- Identify reoccurring challenges to effective through life support, related to product design or process, and log these challenges using OSI’s Continuous Improvement process.
You Bring
- Technical/professional qualification and/or post graduate qualification or equivalent experience
- 5+ years relevant experience of technical support to in-service customers
- Training and experience in Obsolescence Management would be an advantage
- Experience of military Customers’, Integrated Logic Support, Supportability Engineering and military supply chains would be an advantage
- Experience of Solid Works, PDExpert and EPICOR ERP would be an advantage
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Successful candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to hold Security Clearance check (SC level) to be able to work within this environment.
