Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator

Department: Health & Safety

Reporting To: EH&S Manager

Location: Winnebago, MN

  

This position is responsible for supporting the Winnebago Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Program for the plant. The EHS Coordinator will implement and maintain all EHS policies and/or programs that will improve overall EHS awareness enhancing the safety culture at the Winnebago production facility. This position reports to the site EHS Manager, works with the site management team, engages corporate peer groups, and engages employees at all levels to assure complete compliance with all applicable Company policies, local, state, and governmental regulation.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Post-secondary education in Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role with 3-5 years minimum
  • Prior work experience in an industrial plant environment is desired
  • Resourceful and practical, with demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills paired with an ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities with competing demands
  • Focused individual who maintains safety standards while working to achieve performance goals and objectives
  • Efficient in using a personal computer (PC) for email, building spreadsheets, PowerPoints, and creating other required documents.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company health, safety, environmental, quality policies and/or regulatory requirements
  • Management Systems; includes completing procedural reviews, internal and external audits, legal compliance audits, self-assessment audits, and overall system management
  • Assist in establishing EHS facility objectives, monitor and report progress using established key process indicators (KPI)
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Complete auditing of key programs, track and report all non-compliances and opportunities for improvement to the EHS Manager
  • Support the process of identifying, investigating, recording, and reporting undesired EHS events or requirements to streamline or improve overall EHS facility performance
  • Complete corrective action reports to fulfill regulatory and/or corporate compliance
  • Responsible for supporting updates, facilitating, and maintaining the EHS training program; includes providing onsite training or training tools (Greenfield University or outside vendors) for all site employees
  • Work with department managers to ensure required safety training is completed on a timely basis and maintaining training records
  • Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory and storage requirements including uniforms or specialty equipment
  • Support the site security program and requirements for the facility
  • Support EHS Manager with weekly, monthly, or annual reporting to all local, state, and federal agencies
  • Participate on the company’s EHS Peer Group program other production facilities and sites
  • Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping, recommend opportunities for improvement and assist in implementing corrective actions in a timely fashion
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Hazard Analysis (HAZOP), and program or policy design/review
  • Complete all other duties and responsibilities aligned to business objectives in support of our core principles.
