About
the Position:
 

Reporting to the Senior Associate, Equiton Capital, the Sales and Service Administrator is a critical role to help drive our business forward. The primary focus is to achieve a specific sales target by identifying opportunities for our Sales Associates.  This is an entry level sales role supporting senior sales roles.


Key Functions and Responsibilities:
 

  • Drive strong sales by providing the Senior Associate timely, accurate and efficient support
  • Gain a strong understanding of sales strategies, processes and how to achieve strong sales results and, in time, put these skills into practice
  • Identify and schedule meetings and events for our sales team including logistical details
  • Prepare Client related documents, reports, and presentations as required
  • Maintain various databases, records, and monthly reports
  • Liaise and maintain strong relationships with internal departments
  • Ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of investment products (public and private) and account type (RRSP, TFSA, RRIF)  
  • Ability to develop sales skills, achieve results and elevate to new roles within the department
  • Strong oral and written communication skills complimented by strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure; 
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills; 
  • Proactive and customer-oriented attitude
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of financial service industry in a client facing capacity 
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field an asset
  • EMD/CSC an asset 
  • Please note that at present, legal eligibility to work in Canada is a prerequisite for this role

Please note, this is an in-office position, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday in Burlington, Ontario.
