Infrastructure Specialist

Genoa Design International is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Specialist to join our ever-growing Information Technology Team.

The IT department is an integral part of Genoa, we help the company as a whole run smoothly and efficiently. Serving as the foundation of technology for the company, we look at things such as Data Management, PC Security, Connectivity and Server Maintenance all the way down to Designer Hardware needs and PC Maintenance. As a foundational department, we are accountable for the vitality and security of backend infrastructure and to provide front-line support to users with a customer-focused approach. By driving continuous improvement of processes and technologies, the IT department enables Genoa to stay agile by empowering design and operations teams to reach their goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Working as part of Genoa’s energetic Information Technology team, you’ll foster a people-first work culture. By that, we mean you’ll:

• Troubleshoot and/or resolve hardware and software issues and problems; resolve issues concerning systems operation; diagnose system hardware, software, and operator problems; and recommend or perform remedial actions to correct problems.
• Monitor and/or perform management of system infrastructure components, physical and virtual.
• Create/update IT documentation for Genoa.
• Network support/upgrades.
• Provide general support, research, and problem solving with the IT team.
• Develop and/or troubleshoot scripts, automation, and related processes.
• Installation of hardware, software, and peripheral components.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN YOUR TOOLKIT

• Effective oral and written communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team to achieve goals within specified timelines.
• Management of Microsoft M365 (AD/Entra/Outlook/Teams/OneDrive/Sharepoint).
• Experience with Server OS’s (Windows Preferred and Linux experience would be considered an asset).
• Experience in Networking.
• Cyber Security minded work ethic.
• Previous work experience in an ITIL organization would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of MS Azure would be considered an asset.
