GoRight Fleet Solutions Inc. is seeking Parts Specialist to work on the Afternoon Shift out of our facility located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Position Summary:

The role is responsible for parts planning and supply to meet the needs of our internal and external customers. Support to the Service Center is key in providing parts and supplies to ensure efficiency in repairs and maintenance.  You will also work with the parts team to achieve efficiencies and sales targets. Maintaining a professional image, and with excellent attendance, you will provide outstanding customer service, to both internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supply parts to service department and mobile units
  • Review all open work orders for accuracy and timely work order closing 
  • Add parts to open work orders and assign to proper tasks as required
  • Provide updates and lead times on parts that need to be sourced
  • Update repair quotes with part information and pricing
  • Create pick lists and pulling and staging parts for jobs in the service centre to maintain efficiency and ensuring Technicians are supplied with additional parts immediately
  • Inspection of trucks or trailers before coming into the shop or while they are being worked on to identify additional parts requirements
  • Facilitate walk-in and phone-in parts sales – ensure the customer is attended to in a professional and timely manner, phones are answered promptly & professionally
  • Pick parts orders for shipping to customers, stock orders for off-site branches and parts transfers, returning unused or extra parts to correct location
  • Assist with shipping and receiving and delivery driver as needed
  • Attend shift huddles and planning meetings
  • Support cycle counts as needed
  • Work with Standard Work to identify opportunities for improvement

 

Education and Training

  • Grade 12 with parts training and experience
  • Parts Technician with Ontario College of Trades would be an asset 

 

Skills and Experience

  • 3 years previous experience working with parts and inventory (truck & trailer)
  • Able to operate equipment assigned to parts area
  • Safe operation of forklift
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent attendance
