RAM is a technical consultancy providing Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.

Your duties and responsibilities in the position of Senior Project Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Project Delivery

  • Overall project leadership.
  • Plan and manage projects using a thorough understanding of PMI processes and specific client requirements.
  • Ensure efficient communication and coordination between all stakeholders including Engineering, Procurement, Contract Administration, Construction Management, Safety, Environment, Indigenous Relations, and Community Relations.
  • Act as the key contact with clients, stakeholders, sub-consultants, contractors, and support staff.
  • Chair and attend project and site meetings and communicate directly with clients, maintaining a respectful and professional working relationship.
  • Use industry knowledge of transmission and distribution projects to identify, coordinate and secure all required permits and regulatory approvals.

Business Development

  • Actively contribute to growing RAM’s revenue and obtain client satisfaction by performance excellence.
  • Lead and participate in RFP processes for various PM opportunities, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to actively promote RAM and its other services.

People Management

  • Lead, mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers
  • Provide leadership to the PM team and advise on training and professional development for junior staff.
  • Identify and secure partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain key client relationships; and
  • Assist with recruiting key staff.

Ideal Candidate Requirements 

  • Minimum of 10+ years of consulting or public sector experience;
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or Building Diploma is considered an asset;
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC, or Registered Applied Science Technologist (AScT) with ASTTBC considered an asset;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation with the Project Management Institute (PMI) considered an asset;
  • Experience with complex construction values over $10M;
  • The MMCD Certified Contract Administrator (MMCD CCA) designation is considered an asset;
  • Adept knowledge of applied design and construction methods;
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills with project stakeholders, the public, clients, regulatory agencies and consultants/contractors;
  • Excellent report and proposal writing skills; and
  • Experience assembling, managing and delivering construction contracts.
