We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to add to our GIS Services team. 

The Role: 

Our GIS Services Team is responsible for providing expertise and solutions to internal and external clients on a variety of projects in the natural resource and government sectors. The selected individual will thrive in our team environment and be responsible for: 

  • Providing geospatial expertise and support to both consulting and software projects
  • Supporting a variety of enterprise-level GIS systems
  • Understanding customer needs and workflows and providing customer support for both long-term and new projects and initiatives
  • Connecting enterprise systems, platforms, and applications
  • Helping to design and implement geospatial and software solutions
  • Automating geospatial workflows
  • Contributing their uniqueness to our strength-based team

Technical
Qualifications:
 

  • Post-secondary education in GIS/Geomatics or related field 
  • Expert level knowledge of GIS principles and practices, spatial analysis, and cartography 
  • Work experience doing intermediate level spatial analysis and mapping with Esri ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro and Python scripting 
  • Some foundational knowledge of computer science/engineering (ex: data structures and algorithms, DevOps) 
  • Experience creating translation workspaces using FME Form, or completed training through Safe Software 
  • Expertise with ArcGIS Enterprise is an asset 
  • Certifications (Esri, FME, GISP) are an asset 
  • Experience in the natural resource sector is an asset 
  • Experience with Project Management is an asset
