SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
 
Leading a team of technical specialist’s, the Product Development Product Change Manager is responsible for mitigating the risk associated with material changes to commercialized products including documented risk assessments, specification reviews, product application testing and communicating recommended modifications to formula and processing parameters to optimize changes.  Further, this role will oversee the management of formulations in the commercial ERP, ensuring accuracy of formulation transition from Product Development to Commercial production in alignment with data governance strategies and change management principles for any updates.

  • Coach and mentor team members to perform and grow in role and within the organization with a focus on SB Foods core values: We care, We communicate, We empower and We deliver
  • Use technical and problem solving skills to approach complex projects and prioritize workload based on business impact
  • With a keen focus on details, create process to connect formulation management with good data governance principles
  • Develop working relationships across Supply Chain Functions to ensure smooth transition of materials and formulations for production
  • Manage project timelines and be accountable for technical input to strategic sourcing initiatives

 
THE CANDIDATE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related education
  • Ideally 5-10 years prior experience within the food industry with previous exposure to people management, New Product Development, Quality and ERPs (i.e. D365, SAP, etc…).
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing facilities, processes and documentation
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Self starter who enjoys taking initiative and delivering results
  • Ability to drive clarity for their team to deliver results while being flexible and adaptable based on circumstance
  • Proven experience in managing and organizing multiple concurrent projects to a high degree of detail and with various stakeholders across the business
  • Strong competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of programs and comfort learning new systems
