The Blueprint

 

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Asset Management Accounting, the Insurance Manager will act as the key liaison between the external Insurance Broker and Tridel’s internal companies, which include parent companies and all operating companies (collectively referred to as the "Tridel Group of Companies"), regarding all insurance requirements and communications related to insurance. The role accommodates a hybrid work model (minimum 3 days in office).

 

 

A Glimpse into Your Daily Activities

 

  • Improve, standardize, and maintain the Insurance Reporting Procedure Manual/Insurance Process Document for Tridel’s construction and development operating company.
  • Create and maintain standard Insurance Reporting Procedure Manual/Insurance Process Document for the rest of Tridel’s operating companies.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of annual insurance policy documents received from the Insurance Broker.
  • Administer insurance claims for Tridel Group of Companies and report to the Operating Committee bi-weekly on new and ongoing claims.
  • Manage payment of claims-related deductibles and collect detailed information from internal teams until claim closure.
  • Coordinate procurement of insurance policies for new construction and contracting projects, ensuring certificates of insurance are obtained.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance policy requirements for lenders, consultants, lawyers, etc., and assist internal staff regarding insurance coverage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal customers from an insurance perspective.
  • Coordinate annual insurance policy renewal process with external Insurance Broker, ensuring accurate inputs and timely payment.
  • Verify accuracy of property and vehicle listings at renewal to ensure all assets are covered.

 

The Architect of Your Success

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years in an equivalent insurance role.
  • Insurance experience in the real estate industry is preferred.
  • Experience in an organization with several divisions or business units is considered an asset.
  • An exceptional customer-focused relationship manager with proven capability of earning the trust of internal stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate technical insurance information and insurance coverage related requirements from external Insurance Broker and Insurance Adjuster to internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decisions.
  • Proven proficiency at implementing process changes related to insurance and demonstrated ability to manage organizational impacts of such changes.
  • Strong ability to lead, manage, influence, and enable people to adopt new insurance processes.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and ad hoc requests simultaneously.
  • Proven willingness and attitude to perform any tasks required to ensure exceptional customer service.
