The Role:

 

A focal point for Egis's strategic growth lies in infrastructure major projects, often delivered under an alternative delivery or a P3 model. Egis has made a name for itself throughout the world in part because of extensive alternative delivery project capabilities and experience, in actual concessions and P3 management. Our established presence throughout North America, clients, team of multi-disciplinary engineering professionals, complemented by an extensive pool of international technical experts positions us perfectly to become a prominent player in the alternative delivery engineering sector in Canada and the United States.

 

We are actively seeking an experienced major project pursuit and proposal leads in the United States to work closely with our commercial leadership to spearhead alternative delivery growth through winning proposals. In the role of major project pursuit and proposal lead, you will join a collaborative team comprised of seasoned engineering, business development, leadership and proposal professionals, all deeply committed to ensuring your success. This presents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in Egis's growth, contributing to the exciting expansion into alternatively delivery projects.

 

The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills and attributes:

  • 10+ engineering proposal writing and coordination experience, with a minimum of 2 focused on the alternative delivery space (P3, Design/Build, Progressive models etc.).
  • Well-connected in the industry, with a network of contacts within engineering partners, contractors and other related firms.
  • Expert knowledge of the local US market related to alternative delivery projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to inspire and influence other without direct hierarchical authority.
  • Strategic mindset, big picture thinker and solid problem-solving skills.
  • Deadline focused.
  • Advanced writing skills.
  • Ability to put together winning proposals.
  • Comfort with the RFQ / RFP process and ability to interpret and respond effectively to technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles, terminology, and practices to accurately and effectively communicate technical concepts.

In the capacity of Major Project Pursuit and Proposal Lead, you will collaborate closely with business development, leadership, and proposal professionals. Your key responsibilities will involve anticipating RFQ and RFP releases, guiding internal go/no-go processes, and spearheading responses to alternative delivery RFPs with a focus on delivering winning submissions. Additionally, you will closely engage with internal business developers and client contacts to proactively anticipate significant RFPs, ensuring a strategic and prepared approach to project pursuits. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Collaborate closely with our commercial, proposals, and marketing teams, taking the lead on major alternative delivery pursuits (P3, design/build, etc.).

 

Strategic Content Development:

  • Leverage internal local and international experts to enhance the technical content of bids.
  • Work closely with technical experts to write compelling content for proposals.

 

Accountability and Collaboration:

  • Be accountable for hard deadlines, collaborating internally with content contributors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality procurement responses.
  • Make introductions and recommendations regarding potential partnerships to ensure the strongest bid.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all procurement responses are complete and compliant with the specified requirements.

  • Stay connected with the industry and support pre-positioning and teaming strategy.
